Laced lbd

Dress: Tobi | Sandals: ShopMCE | Bag: KateSpade

As mentioned on Instagram, this dress is THE perfect combination of cute and comfy!
I am a huge fan of dresses that I can wear and eat a cheeseburger [or two] in, and still feel fabulous.

I am so in love with the lace details on this dress, it adds that perfect amount of flare to this LBD.
Score this dress and tons of other adorable stuff over at www.tobi.com

The bag I'm carrying is vintage Kate Spade, I got it years ago, and honestly forgot I had it.
How cute is it though? As soon as I saw it lying in my closet, I knew I had to carry it with this look!

Ohhhhhh these sandals, these sandals are from ShopMCE.com and they are undeniably adorable.
However I won't lie, they do rub your heel on the back, BUT that can be easily fixed.
They also run a little bigger, so if you're going to order yourself some, order at least 1/2 size down!

I wore this little number to my beautiful sister in laws bridal shower this past weekend.
It was a couples shower and I had the pleasure of being one of the hostesses!
Kyle's aunt decorated the place and holy guacamole it was STUNNING!

I've got a busy next few weeks ahead of me!
Doing my stores closeout sale this weekend, then have a bachelorette party next weekend.
Hope everyone is having a w o n d e r f u l week so far!

Have no fear, Spring is near

Top: Tobi | Jeans: Amuse Society | Shoes: Nordstrom (similar) | Clutch: Kate Spade

First things first, how ADORABLE is this top?!
I fell in love as soon as I laid eyes on it,
I'll definitely be wearing it on repeat all Spring/Summer long!
Oh and guess what? It's only $27 right now and comes in olive as well.
Get your butt on over to their website y'all > www.tobi.com

In other news, we celebrated my sweet husbands birthday this weekend.
He turned the big 2-8, and I seriously think he gets better looking every day...
His nana cooked us all a delicious meal and then we went to a little bar in
North Texas to continue the celebration!
He has been working his butt off lately, and I am seriously SO thankful he's mine.
We've been house hunting like crazy and have already put 4 offers in on houses,
but it just hasn't worked out yet. Which is fine, because I know God has a perfect plan for us.
But sheesh we are just SO ready to be settled in somewhere.
Just working on being patient and knowing it will happen when it's meant too!

We're heading to the rodeo tonight with some friends to see Sam Hunt,
So I'll be back here tomorrow with a full report on how the concert was,
what outfit I wore,
and how many corn dogs I ate!

Stay tuned lovers,

Blue Jean Baby

Top: CottonOn [similar] | Jacket: Target [similar] | Leggings: ShopMCE | Boots: LuLusNecklace: Hemline

It seems like Kyle and I have been nonstop lately.
Wedding season is in full force!
Thankfully this weekend we won't be traveling and will get to spend lots of time with family!
I'm a little in shock that Thanksgiving is THIS week, like...WHUT? how did that happen?
It will still be a super busy one for us though!

I'm currently going through this phase where I want to change everything in our home.
I'm all about neutrals -- whites and grays and then random accent colors.
So don't be surprised if you start seeing a whole lot of before & afters on here..
Kyle just painted our red TV stand/chest white this past weekend,
it was gorgeous, but just didn't quite fit the look I was going for.
We can't be changing too much though because, God willing, we'll be moving soon.
I'm SO ready to be in a new place, closer to work!
Prayers that we'll find something soon are much appreciated --
we've only been looking for forever - __ -

But anyways,
Hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Let's Talk Rompers -- and discount codes.

I used to think that I couldn't pull off rompers...
Until I put one on and realized it was the most comfortable thing in the world.
At that point I said "F it" and I've been wearing rompers regularly ever since.

I mean it's basically a onesie that you can show off your legs in.
I'd say that's a win win situation.

Speaking of rompers, i'm having a 20% off sale on my website on all rompers.
Just use code "Romp20" at checkout!

PS: Do y'all notice anything different? hehehe

Braided.

Top: LuLus | Jacket: JCrew [similar] | Jeans: Free People | Booties: Zara

I'm all about braids lately y'all.
Casual, fancy, basic, fishtail, loose, classic...you name it - I love them all.
Unfortunately for me, I can never seem to do cool braided looks on myself...
But luckily my boutique is located inside of a hair salon and well..need I say more?!

After work Saturday I headed straight to a girlfriends baby shower across town
then got ready for a girls night out on the town.
I had a girlfriend at work do a boho braid for the baby shower.
I had a semi faux hawk going on in the front and here's the back,

Then for girls night out my friend Rachel did this little number...

I really wish I could show y'all exactly how these 2 braids were done,
but I have no earthly idea so...
sowwy.

However I'm on a mission to start doing more videos for y'all.
What do y'all think? What would you be interested in seeing?
Make Up Reviews? Get Ready With Me Videos? Fashion Videos? Hair Videos?
You name it and i'll work on it!

Happy Monday Ladies!

Little Dress and a Movie Date

Dress: LuLus | Chambray Top: Forever21 | Converse: NordstromChoker: LuLus

Have I mentioned i'm obsessed with wrapping tops around my waist?
A dress and converse may be my most favorite look, it's simple and casual --
but the dress adds a "cute" aspect.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After work last night Kyle Reagan treated me to a little date night.
We headed to the movies to see Sully, and it was SO good.
I don't know what's up with me lately but I've become a pickle maniac.
--no i'm not pregnant--
I've always loved pickles but lately my love has turned into a scary obsession.
I literally brought my own jar of pickles to the movies with me last night y'all...
That can't be normal.
But hey, at least i'm not addicted to cocaine -- could always be worse right?

Hope everyone has a GRRRReat weekend!

Trendy and Body Friendly? Yes please.

Dress: LuLus | Flannel: LuLus | Booties: LuLus | Necklace: LuLus

Okay, whatever call me an addict. I'm not ashamed.

This outfit is one of my all time favorites.
I'm not one to repeat outfits much, but this one is an exception.

I've never really been one to wear super fitted clothing,
Mainly because I have a very straight figure and fitted clothes just don't do my body justice.
But thank God for the "wrap around ya waist" trend, because it changed my life.
Not only does it add a little flare to your outfit but it also creates the illusion that I've got some hips.
This trend can also be used to disguise any parts of your body
that you don't necessarily want to show off.
Got a little extra pudge on that tummy? Covered. Got a saggy butt? Covered.
Trendy & body friendly? yes please.

I can't believe it's already Thursday, this week kind of flew by.
I've got a sweet friends baby shower to attend this Saturday
& then some family is in town so i'm sure we'll be on the boat Sunday!

Don't worry i'm gonna hit y'all with another outfit post tomorrow.
A new post 5 days in a row?!
Holy Crap y'all, things are getting serious.

Why I had to unfollow some of my favorite fashion bloggers...

Top: Tobi Jeans: Paige Denim via Nordstrom [similar] Heels: LuLus Necklace: LuLus

Y'all I totally forgot I had this top and found it while desperately
searching my closet for an outfit to wear yesterday...
Don't you love finding hidden treasures in your own closet?!
It's definitely supposed to be a crop top, but my torso is like 2 inches long, so hey...
a normal top it will be.

These jeans are a perfect example of a splurge item for me.
I was able to score these when they were on sale so they were just a little over $100,
but I totally wear them multiple times a week, ESPECIALLY come Fall.
I am not one to spend ridiculous amounts of money on 1 item of clothing.
Although i'm a huge fashion lover & own a boutique i've just never been all about
brand name anything.
I'd rather have 5 pairs of adorable & versatile heels than one pair of gorgeous heels that I can tell people are Jimmy Choo.
Now hey, don't get me wrong!
No shame on you brand name gals, you do you boo.
Heck if I had the money maybe I would feel differently...
But right now, for me personally -- it's all about looking fabulous on a budget.

I have such a hard time following certain fashion bloggers,
I actually had to go through my instagram
and click the dreaded "unfollow" button on multiple of my favorite accounts.
WHY? you ask...

Well, Let me tell ya...
There's really nothing worse than falling in love with an outfit you see -
only to click the link to the website and see that the adorable little shirt that you can't wait to purchase costs $300...
oh and the jeans? $548.
Don't even get me started on the shoes...
I could go on and on...
Liiiiiikkkeeeee.....c'mon.
I'm a 27 year old small business owner --
I want to look & feel good.
I want my clothes to be well made.
I want to be trendy and unique and be able to showcase my personal style.
But I don't have ridiculous amounts of money to drop.

Basically, to keep it simple for y'all.
I clicked unfollow because it was depressing, and I found myself continually disappointed.
Disappointed that I couldn't afford that super cute top, or those gorgeous shoes.

SO, with that being said.
I really really hope that all you girls following me never feel that way.
I hope you can look at my outfits and be inspired by them and know that you can look
trendy and fabulous without spending crazy amounts of money.
There are so many amazing boutiques and shops out there that sell unique and beautiful clothing
at a G R E A T price.

haha no but really...for those of you that think you need to have lots of money to stay on trend.
I'm here to prove you wrong!
And hopefully I can bring a smile to your face while doing so.

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Celebrating Sis

Top: Dainty Hooligan Jeans: Similar Necklace: Pree Brulee Heels: LuLu*s

Last Friday we celebrated my sisters 30th birthday!
{a little early}
She rented out a private room at Pinots Palette
and it was way more fun than I was anticipating.
These places are byob so of course I brought bae...

We got there expecting there to be no food and there was a massive tray of chick fil a nuggets
as well as these beauties...
Therefore we were very well nourished for the class.

We painted a sunset, which yes, sounds simple..but you are all so very wrong.
Please go grab a paint brush and attempt to paint a swinging hammock & then get back to me.
God was really looking out for me in this photo, shout out to Jesus for the perfect lighting.
;)

Once the class was over we googled the closest bar to us
and ended up at a strange little place called Blue Lagoon.
We walked in and it was like everything including the music just stopped.
This was definitely a bar full of regulars and we were SO out of place.
BUT we ended up staying, I mean it was karaoke night so how could we not?!

Blue Lagoon definitely left us with sore abs and some interesting memories.
Happy early birthday sis!
