I am a huge fan of dresses that I can wear and eat a cheeseburger [or two] in, and still feel fabulous.

I am so in love with the lace details on this dress, it adds that perfect amount of flare to this LBD.

The bag I'm carrying is vintage Kate Spade, I got it years ago, and honestly forgot I had it.

How cute is it though? As soon as I saw it lying in my closet, I knew I had to carry it with this look!

Ohhhhhh these sandals, these sandals are from ShopMCE.com and they are undeniably adorable. 

However I won't lie, they do rub your heel on the back, BUT that can be easily fixed.

They also run a little bigger, so if you're going to order yourself some, order at least 1/2 size down!

I wore this little number to my beautiful sister in laws bridal shower this past weekend.

It was a couples shower and I had the pleasure of being one of the hostesses!

Kyle's aunt decorated the place and holy guacamole it was STUNNING!

I've got a busy next few weeks ahead of me!

Doing my stores closeout sale this weekend, then have a bachelorette party next weekend.

In other news, we celebrated my sweet husbands birthday this weekend. 

He turned the big 2-8, and I seriously think he gets better looking every day...

His nana cooked us all a delicious meal and then we went to a little bar in 

North Texas to continue the celebration!

He has been working his butt off lately, and I am seriously SO thankful he's mine.

We've been house hunting like crazy and have already put 4 offers in on houses,

but it just hasn't worked out yet. Which is fine, because I know God has a perfect plan for us.

But sheesh we are just SO ready to be settled in somewhere. 

Just working on being patient and knowing it will happen when it's meant too!

We're heading to the rodeo tonight with some friends to see Sam Hunt,

So I'll be back here tomorrow with a full report on how the concert was, 

what outfit I wore, 

and how many corn dogs I ate!

It seems like Kyle and I have been nonstop lately.
Wedding season is in full force!

Thankfully this weekend we won't be traveling and will get to spend lots of time with family!
I'm a little in shock that Thanksgiving is THIS week, like...WHUT? how did that happen?
It will still be a super busy one for us though!

I'm currently going through this phase where I want to change everything in our home.
I'm all about neutrals -- whites and grays and then random accent colors.
So don't be surprised if you start seeing a whole lot of before & afters on here..
Kyle just painted our red TV stand/chest white this past weekend,
it was gorgeous, but just didn't quite fit the look I was going for.
We can't be changing too much though because, God willing, we'll be moving soon.
I'm SO ready to be in a new place, closer to work!
Prayers that we'll find something soon are much appreciated --
we've only been looking for forever - __ -

But anyways,

i'm sure you saw that I did a little photoshoot with one of my girlfriends recently!

and y'all...it kind of changed my life.

It's been really hard for me to grow my business Instagram, and really get the images that I want...

It's super hard to get the exact pictures that I want when i'm modeling my own clothes.

I always have a vision in mind -

What I want the picture to look like, how I want the clothes to lay on the body, 

how I want the model standing, and how I want the background to be...

But being the model & having a friend (who's NOT a photographer)

take the pictures makes that a pretty hard job.

My pictures always come out decent, but just not the vision I had in mind. 

I'm not at the point where I can hire a professional model, 

BUT I do have some pretty gorgeous friends.

The only problem is....

I'm only off on Mondays, and well the  majority of my friends work on Mondays.

However, the other week I convinced one of my friends to "work from home"

so she could model for me!

and guys...it was A W E S O M E.

I was able to direct and use my creativity to get the exact shots I wanted,

and I seriously loved every minute of it.

and my friend Liz had an awesome time as well.

I mean what girl wouldn't enjoy wearing cute clothes and being a model for a day?!

Which is how I came up with the idea of....

Having a different model every month.

A Model of the Month if you will.

So with all of that being said...

If any of you babes live in the Houston area and would be interested 

in being a model of the month (which is actually just a day or 2 of LOTS of picture taking)

Friday Favors

Howdy y'all!

So, I have a favor to ask of all of you, a prayer request if you will.

Kyle and I have been on the hunt for a new home for quite a while now.

I'm commuting almost 4 hours a day and not only is it taking a toll on the bank account, 

but also on my sanity. 

-- Long story short --

My sweet Mamaw has been living in an assisted living facility for a while now, 

and her house is just kind of sitting there empty.

My parents came up with a genius idea that Kyle & I could live in it, 

pay for the utilities, save up for a house of our own - 

but also work on my Mamaws house while we're living in it, ya know - fix it up a bit 

and just take care of it for her while she's not able to live in it. 

Well, My Mamaw isn't quite herself lately so she didn't take that too well,

and felt as if we were trying to take her house from her.

But in reality it would just be the perfect situation and help all of us out.

It's closer to my job, it would help us save money for a home of our own, 

and we would fix her house up and keep it safe while she's away. 

Today after work i'm going to go visit her and possibly talk to her about it,

so if y'all could say a little prayer for me!

Just pray that if it's Gods will that we move there for a little while that my Mamaw 

will have an open mind and trust that we will take care of her home for her & 

know that we aren't trying to take it away from her.

I know there's power in prayer so hopefully we will have an answer today!

Well guys, it's October and it's still about 90 degrees here in Houston,

so this outfit is about as Fall as it's gonna get for now.

I'm DYING to whip out my infinity scarves and boots but it just aint happening for us yet. 

How was everyones weekend?!

Mine was great - 

I worked saturday then got to grab a late lunch & catch up with my sweet girlfriend.

Sunday was spent with Kyle and Charley, catching up on Netflix & eating lots of take out.

We're currently watching Blacklist and it's SO good!

Anyone else watching that right now?!

We are totally obsessed. 

I'm also watching Greys Anatomy [on my own] - Kyle just couldn't get into it.

I'm about to finish Season 3, and I cry hysterically just about every episode, UGH, it's just so good.

which reminds me, I need to go watch a few episodes....

Guys, I love my job.

One of my favorite customers brought in her husband today 

and they told me they want to adopt me.

Ha!

But really, I would consider letting them - such an adorable little couple.

The lady is probably mid 70's and she has legit rainbow hair..talk about #goals.

Lately i've been all about changes. 

I usually hate change -- but currently i'm embracing the crap out of it.

Like - my blog is in the midst of a makeover, and i'm wanting my store to get one as well...

I kind of just want to change up everything in my life right now.

Anyone else go through these phases, or am I a maniac?

Kind of want to color my hair dark again...

Kind of want a sleeve of tattoos...

Kind of want to become vegan...

[LOL that'll never happen]

Kind of want to want to eat McDonalds for every meal...

Kind of want to start a new Netflix show...

Well, it's officially Fall, and i'm over here sweating my ass off in a tank top.
That's what I get for living in Houston though right?
I've never been more ready for the cooler weather y'all.
I'm not going to lie - i'll admit i've been working a little too hard on my winter bod lately.
I MUST start working out again.
My 2 hour commute to work every day has really put a damper on my work out schedule.
And by that I mean - I have no work out schedule.
But hey, i'm still alive and healthy and all is good in my little world.
However, I do hope to bring some more fitness posts to y'all in the near future!

It's officially Friday and it's officially raining cats & dogs here.
Which i'm totally loving.
I've got a little day date with one of my besties after work tomorrow -
we are LONG overdue.
I'll be sure to fill y'all in on Monday about how exciting or not exciting my weekend was.
Ha!
Fingers crossed that it's at least a tad exciting.

Three Years...

It's the little things in life and marriage that really make it worth while. 

Today marks three years since Kyle asked me to be his wife, 

and although there have been many rough patches along the way...

I have never been more proud to call him my husband.

Marriage is no joke y'all,

and there is NO such thing as a perfect couple.

Kyle and I may have 100 different struggles and stresses and things on our minds right now-

but it's the little things that get us through each day.

He walked in this morning as I was getting ready for work-

looking a hot mess and blasting Texas county music. 

Half my hair was on top of my head, half my makeup was applied,

and I was wearing my grungy "get ready" clothes.

He picked me up and held me for a minute - 

and then started dancing around our dirty bathroom, with me wrapped around him. 

That. 

That's what matters. That's what makes all the hard times worth while. 

the little moments that don't necessarily come often, but mean everything. 

I love you because you make me laugh, 

but I love you more because you love me like Jesus does. 

Thanks for asking me to spend forever with you Kyle Reagan.
